Our Pastor

Pastor Jared K. Henry has been our pastor since 2018. He and Sarah, his wife, have been married since 2002 and have two children.

Pastor Jared is a passionate preacher with the heart of a pastor. Every sermon is a challenge to think, examine, and make a decision. He is also involved in leading the church’s vision, caring for people in the church, and developing spiritual leaders.

Pastor Jared has been preaching since 1999 and been a pastor since 2003. He became a Christian in 1989 and was entirely sanctified in 1999.

#Encounter God

We want to #ENCOUNTER God. It is in the presence of God that we are made whole, redeemed, and experience what we need. We seek to meet with Him!

We seek to meet with God through song in corporate worship, through hearing the Word of God in preaching, through fellowship with God and one another in the sharing of Communion, and through lifting our hearts to the Lord in prayer. See our web site for services where we seek to #ENCOUNTER God.

#Equipped by the Holy Spirit

We want to be #EQUIPPED by the Holy Spirit. To fulfill God’s calling, we need the Holy Spirit to prepare us for the work. Spiritual empowerment is necessary to fulfill the mission!

We seek to prepare believers to carry out the Great Commission through the power of the Holy Spirit. We offer multiple opportunities for children, youth, and adults to mature in their faith and grow in their knowledge of God through weekly classes and activities. #Engage the World for Jesus

We want to #ENGAGE the world for Jesus. The Great Commission is a call for us to interact with the world around us in ways that lead people to an encounter with Christ.

1. World Missions. We give and participate in mission work around the world. We are a sending church that has long and short-term missionaries.

2. Starting new churches. Check out our daughter church Northside Community Nazarene Church located in North Evansville www.northsidecommunity.church.

3. Multiple Locations. In order to reach as many people as possible, we have become a church that meets in multiple locations. Our largest campus is Mackey. Owensville is our newest campus.

4. Mackey Nazarene Preschool is a ministry available to 3, 4, and 5 year old children geared for them to grow academically and spiritually.

…in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

…that the finally unrepentant are hopelessly and eternally lost.

…that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
