Mackey Nazarene Preschool is an academically and spiritually focused preschool for children ages 3-5 years old. We offer a place to teach students in a Christ-centered, family-oriented environment. We are currently looking for a lead teacher for the period January 1, 2026 (earlier if possible) through May 15, 2026.
Position Information:
We are seeking a Lead Teacher to start January 1, 2026 (earlier if possible) and work through our preschool graduation on May 15, 2026. Class schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM to 11 AM. We currently have 12 children in the class. The Lead Teacher is paid for 5 hours per day (15 hours a week total): 3 hours class time plus 2 hours for preparation and administrative tasks. Pay will be between $13 and $15 per hour based on experience, training and education.
Requirements:
- A current and active walk of faith with Jesus Christ
- A regular attender and an active participant in a local church congreation
- A deep love for children with a desire to see them grow in their faith in Jesus
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate and interact with both children and adults
- Must have a driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Must submit to and have favorable background check results
